One of the highlights of early spring in New Hampshire is Maple Sugaring Season. March is officially Maple Month, a time to celebrate the rich tradition of maple syrup production in the region. Just next door, Prescott Farm hosts its Tap into Maple programs, where visitors can learn about the fascinating sugaring process, from sap collection to the final golden syrup. For an even sweeter experience, plan your visit around NH Maple Weekend on March 15 – 16, when local sugarhouses open their doors for demonstrations, tastings and more.
For those looking to make a splash—literally—Gunstock Mountain will be hosting its annual Pond Skim Event on Saturday, April 5th, beginning at 11 AM. This lively event is a spring skiing tradition where costumed participants attempt to glide across a freezing cold pond on skis or snowboards. Whether you’re daring enough to participate or just want to watch the excitement unfold, it’s a must-see spring spectacle.
While we gear up for spring adventures, we’re also preparing for our annual pool maintenance period. From March 31 – April 13, our indoor pool will be closed for scheduled upkeep to ensure the best possible experience for our guests in the coming months.
