24 Feb Summit Resort’s Spring Ahead
What an interesting winter it has been, we have experienced a very mild winter so far and this makes me think spring!
March is Maple Sugar month in New Hampshire so why not plan a trip to the Lakes Region and tour some of the great sugar houses we have in the area? One of our favorites is right next door at Prescott Farms. Prescott Farms will be offering 90-minute tours every Saturday through the month of March. You can experience the entire process of making maple syrup from tapping the trees and collecting the sap to boiling and enjoying the finished product. You can rent snowshoes at the resort front desk and walk over to Prescott Farm through the access trail from the Summit to the farm. Stay tuned for the grand opening of the “Innovation Center” in the spring of 2023. This 3,600 square foot structure will enable Prescott Farms to offer many more activities and workshops for your families to enjoy while here in the Lakes Region.
April school vacation weeks are right around the corner and everyone is looking forward to getting away. Come relax in our beautiful indoor pools and jacuzzi while letting the kids enjoy the tropical atmosphere. The pool bar has been busy, and we have a lot of great drinks for the kids as well as some new refreshing “adult beverages” for you to enjoy. During the school vacation weeks, we will also be hosting Wildlife Encounters, this event is always well attended and fun for the kids. Please note the pools will be closed for annual maintenance from Monday, April 3 and reopening for a full day of business on Friday April 14, 2023.
This year Laconia will also be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Laconia Motorcycle Week. This event is sure to be a crowd pleaser! What better way to see the area than on 2 wheels? Even if you are not on 2 wheels the 100th anniversary is sure to have events for everyone. We are walking distance to Weirs Beach, which is the hub of most of the activities. But remember, it is downhill to Weirs Beach and uphill back to the resort. Check out the lineup of Laconia Motorcycle Week events at laconiamcweek.com.
