If you are a coffee enthusiast, mark your calendar for the weekend of May 20th! Whether you enjoy drinking coffee, making specialty coffee, learning about coffee or all of the above, there is an exciting opportunity coming to the Lakes Region this year. The inaugural New England Coffee Festival will be held right in Laconia, New Hampshire, just minutes away from The Summit Resort. This event is giving coffee lovers and producers the chance to collaborate and connect with other like-minded individuals while celebrating the impact of the specialty coffee Industry within our local community and beyond.
The festival, organized by Wayfarer Coffee Roasters, begins on Friday, May 20th and runs through Saturday May 21st, offering something for everyone including coffee industry professionals, hobbyists and consumers. Friday evening the festival kicks off with a Welcome Mixer hosted at Defiant Records and Craft Beer from 7-10pm where individuals are able to connect and mingle, bonding on their mutual respect and interest of the specialty coffee industry. Each ticketholder to the mixer event will also receive a complimentary beverage.
Saturday contains many more exciting opportunities at the exciting New England Coffee Festival. Between the speakers, discussions and workshop series featuring business professionals in multiple fields, the festival is your one-stop shop for all things coffee. Offerings include a latte art throwdown, unique tastings, live music to enjoy throughout the day, an arts walk, an outdoor adventure experience and many additional vendors such as pop up cafés and food trucks to try. Many of the events will be held within the revived Laconia Colonial Theater and at the historic Belknap Mill both located within the downtown Laconia area.
This is the perfect opportunity to get an in depth understanding and exploration of the specialty coffee industry. The event offers a variety of ticket options beginning at $20 for the Expo Pass which allows access to the exclusive events inside the Belknap Mill including the vendor expo, Mill tours, tastings, samples and New England Coffee Festival merchandise. The 1 Day Pass is $50 per person and includes everything the Expo Pass encompasses as well as access to the educational workshops, speakers and panels at the Colonial Theatre and the exciting latte art throwdown competition held on Saturday. The 2 Day Pass is $75 per person and is considered top tier with all the sensational offerings as the previous listed passes AND the opportunity to attend the welcome mixer held on Friday night from 7 – 10pm. The event is also offering a Swag Tote to the first 1,000 guests who purchase the 1 OR 2 Day festival pass.
