Here at the Summit Resort, we offer a variety of amenities ranging from exciting outdoor options like volleyball, horseshoes and cornhole to indoor selections held within our 25,000 square foot amenity building including a multifaceted game room, fitness center, racquetball court and the most popular being our indoor pool area. The attraction holds a massive pool with an exhilarating waterslide and waterfall leading to a hidden cove, kiddie pool with an additional waterslide, an oversized Roman Spa hot tub, a poolside bar and an electric dry heat sauna. With the number of visitors who enjoy this amenity, we are sure to keep the facility in tip top condition. Annually, we are able allocate a few days during our slower period to update and renovate the major attraction of the resort.
This year we allotted a little extra time during the shutdown period for a few larger projects. From March 28th to April 15th our maintenance staff put in long hours to complete the immense project. The team began by sandblasting the larger pool, a process used to remove the previous layers of concrete paint and allowing us the ability to use Epoxy paint, a coating process for the entirety of the pool. After allowing the paint to dry for a minimum of five days, we were able to begin filling the pool once again. Both the kiddie pool and Roman Spa hot tub received an additional fresh coating of Epoxy paint after our maintenance crew sanded and cleaned the surfaces thoroughly. Mechanically we have replaced the pipes and valves for the main pool and Roman Spa filters to improve the quality of the water. For aesthetic updates, the paint alongside the walls and locker rooms have been retouched and the ceiling lights above the pool have also been replaced with energy efficient LED bulbs for an enhanced viewing of the entire area. The locker room areas also received brand new benches for more comfortable seating.
