24 Feb Spring Ahead Message
Hello all! What a busy winter season it has been so far. We have enjoyed welcoming families that have been coming to the resort for generations, as well as families that are just discovering the resort for the first time. It has truly been a great year so far and we are glad that you chose the Summit Resort as your family vacation destination. We still have a few more weeks of winter, but as our temperatures seem to be fluctuating, we cannot help but to “Think Spring”. There is still plenty of spring skiing ahead and we are located about 10 minutes from Gunstock Mountain, 45 minutes from Waterville Valley and an hour from Loon Mountain. Gunstock & Loon Mountain offer tubing at the mountain and Waterville Valley offers tubing at the Waterville Valley Golf Course.
March is Maple Sugar month in the state of New Hampshire, and we are fortunate to be situated right next door to Prescott Farm. Every Saturday, through the month of March, Prescott Farm will be hosting “Tap into Maple”. This is a 90-minute tour that takes you from tapping trees, to boiling and tasting maple syrup. What a fantastic way for the family to get outdoors and learn about the process of making maple syrup. Reservations are recommended, please check them out at prescottfarm.org. We also carry locally made maple sugar products in the Summit Market located in the Amenities Building, be sure to stop by the Market for some tasty treats.
This year the indoor pools will be closing for annual maintenance from March 28 and re-opening April 15, 2022. During this time, we will be prepping and painting the roman spa, kiddie pool and big pool. We also plan to tile the interior of the sauna. While the maintenance staff is busy with these projects the housekeeping staff will be deep cleaning the amenities building. We look forward to seeing our guests enjoy the fresh pool area in April. We will remain open during the time of our annual maintenance and offering the biggest discount of the year with our pool closed super savings promotion.
For those of you that want a relaxing getaway, the Lakes Region has a number of spas, restaurants, breweries and great shopping. Be sure to check out our spring packages and feel free to call us or swing by the front desk to inquire about our favorite areas and spots to visit.
We look forward to seeing you around the resort!
