The winter season will soon be upon us and before we know it the Lakes Region will be covered with a blanket of snow. Winter is one of my favorite seasons, as there is an abundance of activities to do in our neck of the woods. With Gunstock Mountain in our back yard, just a short 11 miles from the resort, this makes for a great get away for the entire family. Gunstock has both alpine and cross country skiing available as well as an awesome terrain park, tubing hill and snow shoeing. The Summit is also near Interstate 93 which can have you skiing at Waterville or Loon Mountain in no time should you desire to venture up north. If skiing is not your thing, we also have some great walking trails right next door at Prescott Farm. These trails are accessible from the resort, and we have snowshoe rentals available at the front desk. Did I mention sledding? Swing by the desk for directions to our favorite local sledding hills. The Ice Castles will soon be returning to North Woodstock and will be opening in January of 2022. This was a popular attraction for many last year so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance as they sold out quickly!

Spend a fun filled day in the great outdoors then come back to the resort and relax in the hot tub while enjoying a refreshing beverage from the convenient pool side bar. Last year we experienced extremely heavy usage of the pool area during the winter months, and we are anticipating this will be the case again this year. We are asking our members to make reservations for daily usage 24 hours in advance of your desired visit. When you arrive at the Summit, please see the front desk for table assignment in the pool area. While staying at the resort you may come and go freely but keep in mind, we will only be able to allow a certain number of guests in the pool area at one time. We ask for your patience while we are trying to maintain a safe and fun environment for your families.

As always, I look forward to seeing you around the resort.
